The Foundry was originally built by Brown and Sharpe Manufacturing Company in 1872, sitting on a sprawling 26-acres of land. The Guerra family purchased this historic complex in 1968 with a vision to turn this industrial mill into “city living”. The Guerra’s have succeeded in their plan and Kevin Nero has added to his in-laws vision by adding Nero’s Foundry Café. Kevin Nero was also the owner of Pat Orlando’s Restaurant in Johnston along with Nero’s Restaurant Oak on Hope Street. He continues to celebrate his talent by serving our community with authentic Italian food here at this mid century landmark.
